PROFESSIONAL
LEADERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES (SELECTIVE
ACADEMIC):
During my academic
career, I have served on a variety of committees ranging from chair of Student
Affairs (at CSUN) to chairing a special convocation committee (Buffalo). I have
been chair of a variety of personnel committees, been chair of a campus research
committee (CSUN), been on a statewide library advisory committee (CSUN) and
on the Board of the Center for Research Libraries in Chicago. During my tenure
as professor in
California I served as president of the Faculty and Chair of the Academic Senate,
as a member of the Statewide Senate, as Chair of Search and Screen Committee
for various academic positions including Academic Vice-President, as well as
on curriculum committees, grievance committees, and a special committee for
the
physically handicapped.
In Buffalo, I served as a member or chair of numerous selection committees including
the President's Executive Committee while Dean, and the President's Advisory
Committee as a professor. I was part of the selection process of every campus
academic officer from President to Registrar.
At USC I served a two year term on the Faculty affairs Committee.
